Marlys Mendez has been a dedicated professional in the beauty industry for nearly 19 years, specializing in hair extensions and hair replacement for 17 of those years. Her passion for creativity goes beyond extensions, as she has always had a deep love for vivids and makeup, constantly exploring new ways to express her artistry.

Marlys began her career as an educator with DreamCatchers in 2018, where she contributed to multiple hair shows with the company. Her natural leadership and commitment to education led her to the role of Head of Education in 2020. In 2022, Marlys made the decision to step away from her successful salon in Austin, TX, and move back to her hometown of Dallas, TX, to work full-time at DreamCatchers' headquarters where she moved into the Director position of the Education team. There, she continues to educate, train future trainers, collaborate on product development, and play a key role in driving the company's growth. Marlys is passionate about making a positive influence in the beauty industry, sharing her knowledge, and helping professionals elevate their skills in hair extensions, hair replacement, and beyond.

Outside of her professional life, Marlys enjoys spending time with her husband of nearly 17 years, their three grown children, and two granddaughters. She also loves relaxing at home with her beloved fur babies. In her personal time, Marlys enjoys trips to Disney, attending live music events with her friend and colleague Dorothy, and playing board games. As a lover of gadgets, she is always on the lookout for the latest tech to enhance both her personal and professional life.
